I knew a guy that was a proficient practioner in this. Its legit. Even if you know someone is using it, its hard to resist and most people have no clue.
I was a kid when I met the guy and he gave my dad a book on it. So I read it. I still have it. I think it helped keep me awake and privy to bs.
He could convince people to do almost anything. It was like magic to me as a kid. It was spooky.
Anyway. Propaganda does this all the time. Constantly. In every aspect of our lives. From commercials, to billboards, to movies, to media, to phone alerts, to the damned toothpaste labels, and everything in-between. Im suprised we have people who are awake at all.
Sure. I can try lol. It's a complex theory but I can try to explain the way that I understand it.
You have to communicate with people in a way that triggers these reactions.
Emotionally, I connect with this.
I came up with this idea on my own.
Thus
This must be the truth / what I want to do.
A simple beginner technique is to ask questions in a way that lead to the answer you are looking for, then repeating their own conclusion back to them, with positive reinforcement.
Example:
You: "What do you think about this diversity law that hires people soley based on skin color?"
Them: "Well, I guess that would be racists, but..."
You: "Yes! I agree, that is racist. Man, you are spot on."
Television can do this because they don't need to hear your answer, as the question is designed for a specific response.
The establishment calls it pseudoscience, but they certainly use it well enough.
Cognitive behavioral therapy is pretty much the same concept and its used in modern psychotherapy. (Easier to find info on too)
Repetition is another form of NLP. So is flowery word play or patronizing tones. There are tons of techniques.
There is a lot that deals with body language, eyecontact and touch that goes beyond my little autistic comprehension lol.
Its a nuisanced art we do naturally, if you recognize it and harness it, you can basically steer the room. Charismatic ppl are naturally good at this Id imagine.
It is a bit hard to find info on. Especially external applications. Most info is self help now.
This video seemed covers the basics pretty well despite being about self help.
You can see how it could be used on someone. Especially the part about anchoring.
I dont have a lot of time to find good videos but this one should lead you to more.
Thank you so much. I wasn't expecting such a lengthy or in depth reply. I have already started to watch the video. Very interesting. I'm going to go finish it. Thanks again.
Oh man, is he. Lol so it Tucker tbh. He uses a lot of "obvious answers" line of questioning, with "atta boy for getting the right answer" reinforcments, along with emotional picture painting.
Idk how you feel about him. I think he covers good stuff no one else will (but doesnt touch a lot of stuff he should) so I guess you can say he uses it for good?
I can't stand listening to him for this reason tho. Never could. Lol
Look into NLP
Neural Linguistic Programming.

Would you please summarize NLP for us and give us some examples of what you mean about making people do almost anything? Sounds fascinating. Thanks.

Yup
Sean Hannity is a master at NLP aka conversational hypnosis.

Hannity is just a tool tho XD
Both of them get to the “aha wake up” moment. But then switch topics (hannity) or divert attention.
Hannity loves interrupting when you’re about to step outside the thought box. He does it torturing also. Classic nlp pattern interrupt.
Is this guys name Sean Hannity? Cause Sean does it all the time.
All prominent media talking heads do this. But yes, Sean Hannity is very blatant.
According to Nietzsche, the dominant morality is that of exhaustion.
Autists: "Go ahead and try"
Post title is spot on.
