It's called a Faraday cage. Never underestimate the power of a grounded Faraday cage to block EM radiation, LOL.

You can get netting that blocks or disrupts EM waves. The tinfoil hat approach is a bit random. It will reflect waves, but possibly concentrate them in random areas.
