Thanks for this. I'm feeling good, hopeful, I've adjusted. We're thinking of leaving the rat race that is S TX and retiring early, and checking out the RV lifestyle while we wait for our tendies. Would like to be closer to family and do things that are important to us, not just work to pay ever increasing property taxes, etc. Great post!
you know it, fren. We really woke up after the election, and now that we see that we've lived our whole lives as debt slaves, we want to stop participating in that. We're 60, and we want to enjoy the rest of our lives. We did rent a camper van for a week earlier this year, and it was fun! Good for you for staying out of the system.
That's a really good point. I'm an RN, so I will probably always have the opportunity to do some kind of nursing - preferably in a non patient care role. Hubby not quite ready to let go either - he is looking in to some type of telework. We shall see. Good times ahead!
