Dr. Cosby came to Flint and spoke at the community college there, I attended.. Many more blacks in the audience than whites. I remember clearly the moment when the breath went out of the room and the realization was collectively made that stand-up comedy was #2 on his list of priorities that day.
It was when he called young black men, "seed bags" who basically compete with each other as to how many women they can impregnate, while also being closeted gay (on the down low) for each other, and spreading diseases to their wives and girlfriends. His message that day was that young black men were disgraceful and willfully destroying their community.
I sat there for the whole thing, laughing at the collapse of expectations these people had. He was funny that day too, but the funniest part for me was all the blacks walking out.. Now if only I still had my reaction paper I wrote for that day, I'd post part of it.
I'm certain that blacktivists figure him for a traitor and justify whatever they could do to destroy the man.
Why the hell does everyone here assume if someone disagrees with them, they didn't "look into" something or whatever. I followed it all extensively. FFS.
So then you know the judge ran as a prosecutor on the platform of convicting Cosby. And that the only real evidence used against him in the case, other than hearsay testimony, was a statement illegally coerced from him under the pretense that it couldn't be used to prosecute him, in which he nevertheless didn't actually admit to any illegal activity.
Cosby did legal drugs with women in the 70s. I'm sorry, but a woman who knowingly takes drugs with a celebrity is planning on having sex with them. These women clearly don't know the difference between regret and rape. Actually look into the case before you pass judgement.
Besides, this stuff didn't come out until Cosby started calling out the problems in the black community. That's why he was silenced.
Accusations go back decades. He was able to survive because of money he made for others besides himself. Women told their stories for decades. Swoooop, under the rug. His original sweetheart deal with the prosecution to avoid justice he admitted his guilt. The dude raped women. It boggles the mind people defending a rapist who admitted to it when he thought he was going to get away again.
He admitted that he had sex with women while they were on drugs. Drugs they'd taken knowingly. That's what was called rape. They called it rape because the women theoretically couldn't consent, because they were on drugs. They called that an admission of guilt.
If a woman takes drugs with a celebrity, she has to know sex is on the table. If he'd been slipping them drugs without their knowledge, I could understand the accusations. That's the way it was portrayed in the media. But it was a flat-out lie. They knowingly took drugs with Cosby, who, on the same drugs himself, then had sex with them.
"His original sweetheart deal with the prosecution" involved compelled testimony. They pushed him into that corner, because there was absolutely NO verifiable evidence. "The accusations go back decades" is another way of saying this all happened a very long time ago, and the women waited 30 or 40 years to come forward. How is that credible at all? There was hearsay from the 70s, and a few women willing to testify against a celebrity. They put out all of this nonsense to ruin him in the court of public opinion because they knew it would never hold up in a real courtroom for very long. And it didn't. That's why he's free now.
You're not going back and forth because you didn't do anything but watch media about the trial, and his buddies backstabbing him to save their own careers.
Bill Cosby was framed.

Based?
Indeed. If he fucked up in his youth, he was certainly trying to make amends..
Disagree on this one. Too many people in comedy etc have indicated it was kind of a known situation for far too long.
Look into the trial, then say he was rightfully convicted.

Whatever that means. I'm saying you are likely wrong about Cosby.
Just ask his date, once she comes to.

You're full of shit dude. And no I'm not going back and forth so save it.
Edit: I agree about the "black community" part as he definitely was marginalized over that, but not that the rape stuff was an extension of this.
