I’m not believing that. Son in law moved from Britain, is disabled as he’s a paraplegic, now a citizen, never worked a day and he’s not eligible for squat.
<shrug> maybe he receives benefits from Britain, I have no idea why, but I'm not a liar... have a great day!
Not saying your lying, but perhaps there is something else involved. My other daughter works for the SSA, your not getting benefits, even if your disabled, if you never worked. Maybe what their saying is the parents are getting some of the children's benefits some how.
Note: My first wife collected SS survivor benefits for her kids, but her first husband did work albeit under 10 years. I also in the coarse of using phone chatlines to meet women for dating, dated 3 separate women who were collecting SSI and none of the 3 worked more than a year or 2. They didn't get much, 400 or so a month.
