Santa seems like a ploy to help sheer the connection between parents and children. Gives them the idea that there is this other entity that will give them more than their parents do for free if they obey but they don't have to obey their parents coz parents are socialised into even if they bad kids they get presents. I reckon parents should take it back from santa
