SO a poor person who can’t afford to fly but lives in a small house can sell their carbon emissions credits to a rich person who can afford to fly BUT lives in a big house and does not have enough carbon credits aka they are abusing the earth (in the current definition) and shouldn’t be allowed to fly since they’re driving a Tahoe to carry their two kids, live in a big house requiring more heat & electricity & ….😳 So as usual the rich can continue doing what they like as long as the poor give up everything. I hate these people.
You're right, it's just a re-writing of the current script. It's as though they see that people are becoming aware of the unfairness and hypocrisy, so they are reframing the unfairness as an opportunity for the poor people to benefit in some absurd way.
What a brilliant idea! Carbon Credits. So, if you can't afford to fly you can sell your credits to a wealthy person who flies a lot. Then, with the money you make selling your credits, you can afford to fly. But you'll need to buy some carbon credits. So you'll need to sell some blood to get money to buy credits. What a beautiful world our leaders are creating for us.
So carbon is now a made-up "commodity"? One might as well turn the amount of sunlight we get as a commodity to sell and trade. Or starlight.... or how about Good Vibes. Can we tax that? Sell it on a commodities exchange? These people are just trying to create more taxes and restrictions on us all.
Not made up ... much we know today is carbon based. Even we humans.
Once you can control the excretion of carbon, you can simply flip a switch off so as to end life of a person. Coupled with a QR code, these unsavory bankers ideas are .... good to take note off, and when the tie comes, apply it to them.
I never SAID that carbon did not exist....I know it's right there on the periodic table. What I'm saying is "made up" is the presumption to buy, sell, and commoditize it. The carbon-footprint fiction has green lefties having heart palpitations, when it's really just one of the more plentiful elements on earth. And they're not even buying and selling actual CARBON... nope, they are trading in a vaporous, imaginary "item" called a carbon footprint, no more measurable or quantifiable than bad vibes or unrequited love.
Why should you be allowed to cause more pollution just because you are richer?
Not that I think CO2 is pollution, of course.

The eyes always give it away
The eyes are the window to the soul...I wonder how many demons are on the other side of that window looking out at us?
or we could use green paper (carbon) and call it money.
People who live in little houses can sell their money to people who live in big houses.
Problem solved.
W T F ?????
With interest attached, of course. If the wealthy want to live luxuriously, they can impoverish themselves in the process while enriching the 99%.
I'll give you credit for that.
Cool. Now I can buy some coal to heat my cardboard box. This new world order is wonderful.
Needs a little botox in her top lip and less around her eyes.
lmaoooo
Looks like a man!!

That's where they start, when you need carbon credits to breathe each month, then they've reach their goal.
Indebted in perpetuity to the masters of the world, living by their permission alone.
Can we toss he in a wood chipper and use the resulting slurry to fertilize Dutch farm fields? That's "green" right??
I have a river bank I'm now the president of.
Dollars for Dirt money exchange opens its doors this weekend.
I'm rich. Who knew.
