Nursing homes have less medical treatment than hospitals, non-treatment in many cases. The hospitals mostly gave harmful treatment. I think Covid was a real thing, that put a small percentage of people in danger whether they went to a hospital or not. People in danger of dying usually go to the hospital. People not in danger of dying sometimes go there and get killed by Covid treatments. I equate OP's statement as "Covid is fake," which I disagree with. But I don't think we can get the answers from statistics, because the data is purposely muddied.

The reason I posed my query, is that my mother was in a "combo" nursing home, one which had independent living, in addition to advanced treatment...which was in all aspects a hospital. Residents were moved from one section to another depending upon need. I don't know enough about the nursing home deaths to know the context in which those deaths occurred.
They're all different. I've seen some with full-on hospital facilities, and others that were basically senior-living condos. I was close to a particular nursing home that had many Covid deaths. This one had very few med facilities, and many residents died, after quick-onset of breathing problems notably different from flus from other years.
I think it's a fair ask to exclude nursing homes as many people would have died from having the flu.
However, I expect like you that someone somewhere died from covid outside of a hospital. It's just not common because when people can't breathe they generally go to the hospital...
But I do also think a lot of hospitals gave very harmful treatment...
Well, official statistics counted the motorcycle accident victims dying of Covid... so we can't trust official statistics, pretty much no matter what they say. It's silly to argue data based on bad data. And everything about Covid has been purposely misdirected every which way. I think OP is just saying Covid is fake, and I disagree.
I know people who died from it but it's really awkward to ask people in their time of grief what they did regarding their care near the end.
It is very weird to me for people here to say the disease itself is fake (I agree the fear mongering has been over the top), while people are getting sick in the summer and it clearly came from China...complete with GoF research
I've wondered this myself. Is there any sauce confirming?
No. It's just a meme statement. Nursing homes, for one.
Ok, change "Hospital" out with "Healthcare facility" since nursing homes are just that.

But perhaps the nursing home deaths were because those homes were dispensing the same questionable care as hospitals?

Good context -- thanks!

I know they tried to kill me when I was in the hospital. They tried, but I wouldn't let them put me on a ventilator.
Alex's father-in-law died at home from covid - allegedly.
