I know people who died from it but it's really awkward to ask people in their time of grief what they did regarding their care near the end.

It is very weird to me for people here to say the disease itself is fake (I agree the fear mongering has been over the top), while people are getting sick in the summer and it clearly came from China...complete with GoF research
