Some of us here will be familiar with Project Northwood, in which the military which floated a number of false flag options to draw Cuba into a hot war with the US.
I just came across this in my bookmarks, and realized that with so many new folks around here, it might be worth re-posting.
A few highlights (recommend reading starting from page 7 for more though):
-
We could blow up a drone (unmanned) vessel anywhere in Cuban waters....... we could follow up with an air/sea rescue operation covered by US fighters to "evacuate" the non-existent crew. Casualty lists in US newspapers would cause a helpful wave of national indignation.
-
Sink a boatload of Cubans enroute to Florida (real or simulated)
-
Blow up a US ship in Guantanamo Bay and blame Cuba
-
They suggested burning Dominican cane fields with "Cuban" B-26 aircraft using Soviet munitions, in order to draw the Dominicans in.
-
Using a fake MIG to harass civil air or shipping vessels. Either by painting an F-86 or even manufacturing a complete fake (estimated 3 months to create)
-
Create an incident "proving" Cubans shot down a civilian air liner
It goes on and goes into greater detail - I've just thrown in a few highlights. However, it's a great case study in brainstorming false flags.
Anyone that is new here may find it very revealing that these exact methods appear to have been employed in many recent false flags, including 9/11 and others.
