What is this thread all about?
Just a place for general discussion. A place to unload whats on your mind and talk about anything - personal, health, help needed, achievements, daily highs and daily lows, theories, predictions and what have you.
Does not need to be Q related.
Tip of the day: To find older General Chats, simply click on my profile -> posts and you will find it there.
I'm still batting around the idea of doing subtle Q related apparel and stickers for those who want it. I have skills that I want to put to use to further a movement that I genuinely care about. I'm not super smart so I'm not one of these guys doing 1000s of hours of OSINT but I kind of know how to do moderately decent graphic design.
The issues i'm struggling with are the concepts of "paytriotism" because there are A LOT of grifters being outted right now and tons that are still lying in brush like ambush predators.
The two issues I have are, if I used something like redbubble or even a personal shopify there would be some profit unless I priced things extremely low. I could donate profits but I don't trust literally ANY charities right now.
Thoughts? ;___; -sniffle-
So do you do graphic work? Do you work with vector graphics? I dabble a little in vector graphics, but no where near being a pro at it. I started a apparel printing business years ago, but had equipment issues which took forever to fix (company ended up switching the equipment with a different model), so closed it before I could even sell anything. There was a lot going on for me at that time, like my mom becoming very sick and passing, so I gave up on it. I still have all my equipment to print and some blanks. Been wanting to sell all the equipment & blanks but my husband tells me to just keep it and I can print stuff for us, family & friends as gifts.
I would say go for it if it’s something you are interested in. You will never know what can be, unless you try. I wish you lots of luck and pray you do well at this new venture!
I'm really sorry for your loss. I know how much life trauma can affect your creativity and drive.
I have very minimal vector graphic knowledge. Most of my stuff has been freehand or text work. I can do relatively basic vectors but most of my past stuff is just high resolution large images.
When you say equipment do you mean like a silhouette/cricut type thing?
No I have a big Oki White Toner Printer, digital heatfx EZ peel transparent transfer paper (sheet A) & bottom sheets (sheet B), a Hotronix Fusion 16x20 with Drawer and Swing Away heat press, small cheap hat/label press (hat press part didn’t work well on the hats we got, so mostly use the small flat label platform for small projects), blank shirts, bags, hats, a program (Digital Heat FX Print Optimizer Software) for the printer for putting bunch of tiny holes in your design for longer lasting printed graphics on apparel (it also takes colors out of your design through the program if want it to). I use Corel Draw graphic program. Have other little things too, like a laser light to help align your graphic on shirt, a paper cutter for cutting the digital heatfx transfer paper.
Yeah, we got the whole set up, wish I could have made it work. Now I just don’t know if I have it in my physically to try and start it back up. The equipment is all still like new and works great. I only use it to print stuff for us or gifts. I’ve even done some neat thing with dog photo’s with my graphic program (Corel draw) and printed on canvas for friends of their pups. I’m not so good at making graphics from scratch, but can take pieces from other graphics I buy from a graphic site and make changes or combine some of this and some of that to make what I need. My Corel draw program can make pretty decent vector graphics from a jpeg or png image, if it’s not a super pixelated image. And it’s an older business (2017 I believe) version of Corel draw, just can’t afford to purchase the newer version updates.
Dang I was NOT expecting you to have all that equipment. I really hope you find some motivation to even do local craft fairs in the future. People love that customizable stuff!
If you like designing things I have a few resources you might be able to have some fun with. They are premade, non-copyright PNGs that you can basically just piece together and have some fun printing and using that equipment!
I so badly want to get a laser acrylic machine or even a resin printer. But I'm not sure I can justify $10k charges for fun little projects lol
