(I just read this message) So in Las Vegas, state laws and regulations require a percentage of winners and a percentage of losers on all of the gaming options in casinos.
The percentage of losers is always higher than the percentage of winners.
Thus, the βHouseβ always wins.
The more people who play, the more money the βHouseβ wins.
Rigged is rigged. Always has been. Always will be.
BUT MANY LOVE TO PLAY THE βRIGGEDβ GAMES!!!!
If you stay in Vegas long enough, Vegas will take ALL of your money.
Think about it !!!
Have to admit, I am not one for gambling but the food in Vegas is amazing. With that being said, I went up 50 bucks on blackjack and cashed out. I walked out of that town feeling like a God! π€£π€£π€£π€£
Friends dad made an algo in 90βs that he inputs the odds (required by law to give) and it spits out 1,000,000+ hands. He can then use that info to gauge how long to sit at one machine until it should statistically pay out a large win.
Heβll sit at one machine for 12 hours and then pay someone to take over, copy repeat until he wins. Heβs won so much money he moved to Vegas for it. Heβs actually kicked out of a lot of casinos as they caught on to him, so he does in disguises, or just keeps moving to new ones, or just pays other people to do it for him. Itβs all pretty elaborate and interesting.
Weβd get whatever we wanted, the amount of comps he has is unbelievable- hotel stays, all the dinners & room service we wanted, in high school mind you. Weβd wheel kegs up to presidential suites in suitcases and order $500 of banana splits just because. Fun times haha
I hate gambling, it feels so dirty to me. But Iβve had a few nights it was fun for a moment, glad I never got into that whole lifestyle being from Vegas and all
Because they all think they are special, that they can beat the game.
Sunk cost fallacy?
I drive through Vegas a coupla times a year. I never stop. Just crack my window enough to push out a coupla 20's and hit the gas!
The really important question is, do the percentages of winners and losers include acceptable percentages of every protected group? e.g., we can't have more straights losing than faggots.
Well, just cause the house wins say 55% of the time over alltime, doesn't mean the current odds for winning the current game are 45%.
If you count cards, you essentially bet small on the hands where house has the edge and play big on the hands when the houses edge is gone.
Or in sports betting, the odds makers are almost always spot on and hard to beat. But that doesn't mean out of the 2000 lines they make each day that some aren't positive EV.
The gambling I dont understand is lottery tickets.
