I think the name is possibly real, but the person was chosen for their name and the message it would send, and therefore absolutely comms.
Either DS sending the message "we still have crash dummies" (golems) to use for FF's.
But it could be a white-hat message saying golems have been neutralized just based upon the subdued reaction of the people being shot and shot at.
The guy shot by an AR-15 at under 30 ft grabs his shoulder, doesnt suffer knockback or display any kinetic energy impact, and merely says "ow" is unrealistic to me. Plus the slow reaction to being shot at by a rifle by the others around.
Could be an intentional red-pill to LEO with all the unplausible series of events that led up to the story. She locked and loaded an AR with no training? And unsecured it while handcuffed? And uncuffed herself? With ammo and a clip just sitting around for detained prisoners in a cruiser to access while on meth?
It REALLY doesn't add up. When someone first hands you an AR it is not at all intuitive and almost impossible to accidentally cock unless it already was.
The one part I can see is the shoulder part, if it's ball ammo and not tumbling it can just go clean thru without much energy transfer - a guy I know (foolishly/didn't think about it) shot a deer with it and then had to go chase the poor thing down to kill it....
If they were really dumb enough to have all this in place as a total accident, they shouldn't be allowed anywhere near law enforcement activities ever again. Not even the fuckin' radio.
I admit ignorance on my part as far as what it looks/feels like to be shot and only have second hand knowledge from video footage on tv/YT. The name though sticks out like a sore thumb though. I agree with you on the rest.
The interesting thing is - not that I've been shot mind you - lots of people that get shot aren't even initially aware they are shot. It's weird but true.
IDK how much you know about bullet types but "ball" = no hollow point or whatnot, just a pointy cone (so, not really ball shaped at all - I have to assume the name is historical?). Now, I don't know why LE would be using such ammo, but I'm assuming this is the case because if it was hollow point it would be way more than "ow." And at this close of range the bullet wouldn't have time to start tumbling, which is when ball ammo from an AR can really fuck you up.
Note, the above is non-expert understanding of the situation so anyone more expert feel free to weigh in.
Edit: I'm actually curious what Rittenhouse had his loaded with, that arm crater in that guy was way more than "ow."
