The world governments conspiring with extraterrestrials to harvest the adrenachrome of humans for their consumption. In return, the elite receive power and technology.
Pretty simple honestly.
As well as underground tunnels leading deep underwater and underground for travel around the known world and elite’s also use them for secret access to the other realms using the “wormholes” aka ‘portals’ previously dug out deep below.
