Typical taqiyya. The attempt on the life of Rushdie is PRECISELY what is recommended by sharia. Had the would-be-murderer succeeded, there would be celebrations throughout the ranks of Muslim slaves, all over the world.
May the Muslim people be set FREE from Islam and may the peace of Christ renew the lives of those who have been tormented by the lies of Mohammedanism!
F that guy. He’s the darling of nerds and academics.
Christians here really need to research more into islam even if its to " know your enemy". The twelvers (the shia sect) that is the majority in Iran whom called on the fatwa. The ismali shia sect known as " the order of the Assassins" which is now based in portugal an there leader is the 14 richest in the world. Should be a start .... then you need to try an understand Sunni Wahhabism which was started only in the 18th century. Most other sects follow morals such as "thiu shall not kill" an more follow thou shall not kill a fellow muslim however wahabism promotes killing those who are not wahabists.
One if the main differences between shia an sunni is the belief of the imams hence the twelvers believe after Mohamed there was 12 imams. The ismali disagree and have different imams. These imAms are seen as gods representation on earth. Much like catholics see the pope, the the ismalis Call there leader the Mahdi or mighty matik in old times.
The Seljuk turks (sunni) where in complete war with this deceiving cult as it grew much like the one that has grown within America.
It depends ...

Note that iran is out for blood. It not necessarily mean that the learned men of Egypt, the highest Islamic Authorities in Sunni-Islam agree with a fatwah issued from Shia-Islam.
However, from a political action perspective, this may very well be game theory.
