They got the busses for $300K each, which is $200K less than a diesel or natural gas bus. A good deal is still a good deal even if someone calls it a green deal.
Exactly this. Energy conservation and using renewables isn't the issue. The problem is the destructive mining of battery minerals and the off-shore exodus of our automobile industries. There are great applications for solar, wind and tide energy generation but it is clear they have huge issues at larger scales and are not proven to be a suitable replacement for renewable oil. Yes, oil is a renewable resource. Second to water as the most abundant liquid on this planet. There is no scarcity, that was just to make sure prices stayed high.
Then it might be too late. The Bible encourages us to discern. It also reminds us to observe the ‘fruits’ of a person - look at their past and present, then discern. Too many RINOs jumping on his wagon and dividing MAGA. I hope that I am wrong.
Coal powered public transportation does not irritate me the same way trying to force private individuals to buy coal powered cars does. Electric trams and buses connected directly to the grid have been around a long time, it’s the battery powered buses that are new. But, when the batteries need replaced they might be second guessing this decision.
Nothing wrong with green. It would take a fool to not realize we are stressing our planet. Buses actually would be the type of vehicle suited to electric, we called the trollets back in the day, and they didnt need batteries. But lets use a little common sense here. Lets not go shutting down entire industries and causing energy grids to collapse. How about we start with some of the bigger problems that are easily solved... recycling plastic bottles for example.
FL checking in here, and everything you said checks out, and we agree. No policy of MAGA against using green technology when it makes sense. To me lawsuit money is a great way to do this experiment in real world extreme scenarios with heat and humidity to see what the best option is for tax payer funded transportation.

I agree.
My dad had a great deal with solar panels he installed on his roof, and it made heating up the water heater effectively free.

With the division being strewn here (and it’s blatantly obvious btw) I will wait to reserve judgement on moves made by desantis.
Don't trust him much.
It is unwise to judge anyone until the movie is over.

That's why I said I don't trust him,otherwise I would just say he's a deepstate a-hole pretending to be MAGA

Plastics are the #1 problem we face environmentally imo. That and the chem trails.
Buyer beware. Trojan horse. Too many ‘fringe’ MAGA pushing his bandwagon.
Get ready for the mental gymnastics!
