I’m surprised they don’t have some kind of signal jammer to stop transmission for bugs. Seems more effective than demoing a building and constant sweeps. It just seems so easy for someone (or now with drones ) to plant bugs

Yeah, you really need to know the freq range that needs to be jammed vs broad spectrum jamming which will mess every electronic device up.
