My wife and I had the absolute blessing of finding CCH - and learning so much more about the Bible from Jack Hibbs and the other pastors there (they're all very "based"!).

We were living in SoCal for 8 years - the lockdowns and race riots started happening and we saw the church we were going to for the previous two years shut down it's live services and start to inject people of color to the worship teams for the sake of the diversity and appease the race rioters.

Without getting into why that reveals where that church was getting it's marching orders (the world, not the Lord) - we were led to CCH by hearing about it being one of the very few churches opening back up (initially shut doors for about 30 days, until Jack heard the Holy Spirit telling him to open the doors).

My wife and I were so happy to hear a church was standing up to what we knew was evil during that time (my spirit could feel it from the very start).

We started going there after doing "online" church for too long because of lockdown.

It was life changing. Not just because of the information we were learning, but to find so many other Christians and people in the area of SoCal that were standing up to the evil we could feel taking place.

Another amazing thing to witness - we went there for just over a year (before we moved out of SoCal (I was fired for simply stating I would not take the shot)) - the amazing thing was seeing HOW MUCH CCH grew during that year.

The services were PACKED - thousands came - so many new people were showing up they even had to make a Forth service! Seating in an overflow gymn.

Jack is an absolute warrior for Jesus and the Truth of the Bible.

Secondarily, we learned so much about how ingrained Faith in Jesus is in the birth of America. Absolutely amazing to hear. At first it was striking - a little off putting to hear so much about politics in church - I had grew up in church and politics were always taboo to talk about in church.

But in these times, I have come to realize how if we claim that God is the creator of all living things, past, present and future - of all creation, time and everything in it - then we MUST subject politics to analysis through the lens of the Bible. It is impossible to say God is all powerful, reigning over everything - and put this little make believe fence around the subject of "politics".

Anyways - here is an excellent lesson from Jack on the history of Faith in the birth of America.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEDdA6VObxc&t=20s

Whatever you do - be sure you are attending/listening to teachers that teach straight out of the Bible. Nothing added - nothing left out.

The Bible says, in the last days there will be an increase of false prophets.

According to the Bible, I believe we are in the last days. If you listen to CCH, you will quickly learn why, from the words of the Bible, that seems to be true.

So glad this conversation is happening!

I have been on this board reading it every single day - every single day - for the last 2 years roughly. I am incredibly dedicated to waking up people around me.

However, America is not the end goal of life. Salvation is. Be sure to not get that out of order or you WILL be led astray.

Evaluate America and it's role through the lens of the Bible. I'm not saying anything negative here - I'm just lovingly giving a warning to those that blindly deem anything "Republican, Conservative, Maga, etc." as good.

It may be good - I might like it personally - but is it Biblical?

If it is not, then we really need to be aware of that. No man should be lifted up as THE savior. And be careful to not put your ultimate trust in anything made from man, but in the saving grace of Jesus Christ - and only Jesus Christ. Nothing more - nothing less.

Much love, frens. God is doing so much!

We KNOW that Qanon is mad straw-man fabricated by the Left/DS. I've listened to Farage and very first talk on 'Qanon' was based on much of what the MSM was pushing, which tells me he really didn't understand the Q movement. Couple that with his intense dislike for Trump tells you all you to know concerning his complete lack of knowledge on the topic.

BUT, his knowledge concerning Bible prophecy is top notch !!

Hey everyone! I just want to (kindly) remind everyone that although online steaming of church is great, it will never replace meeting in person. (Of course this does not apply to those that are sick or have mobility/transportation issues). If you stop meeting in person, you lose accountability and fellowship. Plus, worship is super important and also not the same online. Although convenient (yes it is super nice just to role out of bed (or not) and eat a nice breakfast during it), convenience produces complacency. I’ve noticed some members at my church say they’ll just catch service on line this week because they are too tired to come, or don’t feel like driving. Just be aware of that if that starts to become your way of thinking too. The enemy will always find those weak spots and infiltrate through them. Just wanted to mention this point too! God bless!

I agree.

Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

It doesn't mean exclusively church. I love the people who are believers in Christ. They have always been my extended family. That being said I have contempt for pastors because they endorse these modern NWO bibles and so far I haven't found one that doesn't call out the mistranslated word Jew. I know they're out there but keep a low profile because when they publicly start preaching truth here comes Satan to destroy them.

This pastor stuck his neck out and came under attack.

Some are, but not all. Satan wants us to think that all are so we feel overwhelmed and give up. Plus, no church will ever be perfect. We’re humans and humans (even in Christ) will mess up.

There is no substitution for the teaching that comes from the Spirit of God. Where did the Apostle Paul get his teaching? What seminary did he attend? How about Peter and John?

1 John 2:27 “But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.”

Yeah totally fair question. Jesus calls us to congregate together as the body. I believe and have seen first hand how important this is. Praying over one another (in person) is such a powerful experience. We see and hear first hand the problems and struggles others are facing. People physically breaking down and us being there to pray and help them back up has caused great healing. Also, my pastor is big on accountability. If there is something he preaches that we may not agree with (or have further questions) he wants us to ask questions and challenge him (after of course). It’s easier just to turn off a livestream and move on. We have meals together afterward (Christ calls us to eat together) and fellowship. We plan service opportunities (it’s easier to get people to sign up in person) and even have a crib where people bring baby supplies to help new mothers at a local birthing center. I could keep going, but these are just a few examples. So when I say accountability, I guess I mean it reinforces motivation and truth over sound doctrine. Live-streaming is great, all I am saying is don’t let that replace meeting with other members of Christ. Fellowship is so important. And if that is lacking in your area, maybe that is a call to start something. It can even be just a small group. We have a group that meets Friday nights as well for further fellowship and teaching. Also helps those they can’t make it on Sundays.

Thanks for expanding on your comments...i understand your point...i have belonged a certain christian denomination for 50 years, and it's great when you can get there in person, but i have had to relocate for work many of those years, and right now, am 120 miles from my church...however, in my opinion, i guess i have always considered my accountability to be between me and Jesus...not to say that i haven't shared my blessings, because i certainly have throughout my life in whatever community where i was located...most recently, i bought several hundreds of dollars of baby formula for locals, and had it distributed through a local church, because we are in a small/remote community and several young mothers couldn't find formula...not patting myself on my back, just as an example...other examples include anonymously paying people's rent if in a jam or medical situation, etc...again, not to brag, but just seems like this habit ran throughout my life, wherever i was located, as opportunities presented themselves where i could offer help...so, for me, having online access is a huge gift...just my thoughts, and i think we true believers, will be true believers, regardless of circumstances...the message will get to the messengers, as i like to recall the story of candy canes...Jesus will find a way to share the faith...

That is wonderful! And yeah I totally get that. Online stuff is great for those circumstances. A personal relationship with Jesus is most important. The relationship with the body is just as important too. From my own personal experiences, I have been wrong and have justified things and it took a member to (kindly and constructively) bring it to my attention. I get this can be done online too, but more times than not the energy or intention gets misinterpreted and people get offended easier. Nothing can compare to a face to face conversation. I think Jesus speaks to us through the body as well. He uses us to relay messages and help others through the Spirit (again can be done online but there is just something more when done in person). I've had people relay messages to me that God placed on their hearts that have come to pass. I didn’t think my original comment came off saying not to participate in these things at all. I just see more and more people replacing it (when they don’t need to) out of convenience. I felt in my heart just to remind people of this when it is so easy and tempting to retreat into our comfort zones. It’s all a balance!

You're not meant to be a "solo" Christian. You need to be in fellowship.

Too easy to compromise, back slide if not in a congregation to hold you accountable to yourself.

▲ 2 ▼
– ChronicMetamorphosis [S] 2 points 2 years ago +4 / -2

If you stop meeting in person, you lose accountability

To whom? The fake church?

Mind you, my experience is different from yours, and regional differences in culture play into this as well, but I've seen a lot of people at church pick on each other for how they look, and what they're going through, gossiping about each other, etc.

I know this aspect of society has had the church lose a lot of followers because "God's followers" are focused on The Devil's bullshit.

Some of these people viewing our comments right this minute are afraid of speaking up about it, because they're afraid that by speaking up about it, they will lose their social network at church.

I'm just saying, waving the finger at people for not going church - when they've already left - is not a way to get them to come back.

See these live streams as a blessing. If there's an attendence problem at your church, you might need to do some work closer to home.

I’m sorry this has been your experience. I have a very welcoming church. They never locked down or enforced masks, and I live in a VERY blue area. My church has been truly a diamond in the rough haha. People come dressed up or in jeans or shorts. No one cares what you are wearing, we just want you to show up. And attendance is fine for us. I just see people get lazy and will miss a few weeks in a row. This can be dangerous to the individual. Also, if I see someone not show up for a few weeks that sparks a red flag for me. I'll reach out to see if everything is ok. Often times, they are not doing well and are fighting spiritual demons (depression, anger ect.) People tend to retreat when they are knocked down (I tend to do that too). This is just one example on how to keep things accountable. I agree, the livestream is great use of technology for the church, but you also have to check it. I am not pointing fingers but speaking the truth to hold us accountable. The pandemic wanted lockdowns and for people to stop congregating together. I can tell you are hurt in this area and I am truly sorry to hear that. I will be praying for you.

Very true and I agree with that, but please reread my comment because you missed my point. I'm not talking about the institutional church contained by walls. The real meaning of the church is working with the brothers and sisters in Christ. I am seeing people get lazy with their faith and replace showing up to anything for online events. Doesn't mean you specifically, but this is happening and God put it in my heart to write this reminder when I saw this post 2 weeks ago. So I obey. God bless friend.

Some of them lean pretty Calvinist. I used to go to one and once I started learning about Calvinism I had to leave. It was too confusing to try to filter out the mixed messages about the God of the Bible and the god of Calvinism.

Most Calvary chapels I know about do not hold the Calvinist doctrine. Named Calvary because of where the cross was, not because of the doctrine.

Calvanism is a label they throw at you like anti-Semite and racist. All meant to keep you from the truth. If you are a saved believer in Christ it is on YOU to rightly divide the Word of truth.

"Free will doctrine - what does it?

It magnifies man into God. It declares God's purposes a nullity since they cannot be carried out unless men are willing.

It makes God's will a waiting servant to the will of man and the whole covenant of Grace dependant on human action.

Denying election on the ground of injustice, it holds God to be a debtor to sinners".

Charles Spurgeon.

You need to spiritually detox yourself from bad teaching which is practically found in every church. They are not about the truth but money. Any church that thinks the Jews are God's chosen people, get the hell out of there. If you see the Israel flag on church grounds, leave!!

The Bible says for many are called but few chosen.

Saul of Tarsus was on a mission to kill Christians until the glorified Christ stepped in and made him the 12th Apostle.

If a person becomes a believer in Christ, God did that, you didn't, the lost sinner "didn't get saved" wasn't won over by dispensational members of a water Baptist church going "soul winning" but the Lord did that!

When you share the good news of Christ, take God with you. Pray the Lord will save that person because the decision rests in the hands of God the Father not the sinner.

John 6:37

“All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.”

Romans 3

10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

Three things you need to remember.

There are two kinds of people those believers in Christ and those that are unbelievers.

There are no Jews in the bible. Run everything through the 1611 KJV. In it the word IEWE shows up meaning either Judeans or Judahites, Edomites or Israelites, Esau or Jacob.

Todays word Jew means Judaism, Satanism, Baal, Pedophilia, Deception. Yea but what about Judeo Christian, Messianic Jew or Christian Jew? There is no such thing.

It is scripture but yes they do quote that but the problem is they are not doing a good job with understanding scripture because of, for example their water baptism heresy when the greatest man born of women according to Jesus, John the Baptist said water baptism ended with him as the Christ would Baptize all believers with his Spirit. If I am misunderstanding you please let me know.

Why do you believe water baptism ended with John the Baptist? Is this why?

Acts 1:5

For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

This fact didn't stop Philip from baptizing the Ethiopian eunuch with water.

Acts 8:35-39

35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

When Cornelius and his companions heard the gospel preached by Peter, and the Holy Spirit came upon them, Peter baptized them with water afterwards.

Acts 10:44-48

44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

In 1 Peter, Peter compares baptism to the water of the Great Flood.

1 Peter 3:18-22

18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

Paul was struck blind by Yeshua and commanded to go to Damascus.

There he met Ananias, who restored his sight and had this to say-

Acts 22:16

16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Paul was also baptized with water.

Just because believers are now given the gift of the Holy Spirit doesn't mean water baptism ever ended. There are many examples in the Book of Acts, some of which I referenced above, of new believers getting baptized with water.

Galatians 3:26-27

26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Now, I will say this, the thief on the cross next to Yeshua did not receive a water baptism but his belief will save him.

Baptism is an outward sign of something that happens on the inside. If you don't believe Yeshua is the Son of God, baptism is meaningless.

Just as Cornelius and his companions were baptized with water after the Holy Spirit fell on them, baptism is something new believers should do as soon as possible.

If you believe water baptism ended, how do you explain the above verses, by the way?

I usually get the spelling incorrect so I looked it up:

Arminianism, a theological movement in Protestant Christianity that arose as a liberal reaction to the Calvinist doctrine of predestination. The movement began early in the 17th century and asserted that God's sovereignty and human free will are compatible.

So what you are saying is that you are an Armenian Arminianist?

Sorry I didn't reply sooner. If you're a reader, I'd suggest a book called "What love is this?" by Dave Hunt. It's a bit old, but it has some great information. For newer information, try this website: https://www.beyondthefundamentals.com/ Some of their videos are pretty long, but not all of them. And there are "class notes" with PDF files you can read.

Another good (but older) book by a Calvary Chapel pastor is "The Dark Side of Calvinism" by George Bryson.

Read Romans 8:29-30. This is one of the strongest predestination verses.

29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

Predestined and election have similar connotations.

This may upset a few, but bare with me when I say predestination is a misunderstanding of Scripture. It assumes before you are born, you are predetermined or chosen the go to Heaven but it ignores the omnipresence and omniscience of God and the gift of free will. You see, God as the Creator stands outside of Creation and literally sees everything, and every time, all at once. You know the first verse of the Bible, "In the beginning God created the Heavens and Earth." Get that, in the beginning so before this happened, there was no such thing as time but then when He created the Heavens (space) and Earth (matter) it was literally the beginning of the space/time continuum. So by this, knowing that God sits outside of creation, thus He also sits outside of time itself. So He knew me before He set the foundations of the earth, because He can see my entire life all at the same time. He knows the decisions I'm making, even to the day I was saved. Point is, I made that decision on my own, God just knew that I was going to, just as He already knows everyone else that is going to join me as a Brother or Sister in Christ. But that's not predestination, that's just God being God and knowing all of His children and the decisions they will make in life.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner. Yes, predestination and the rest of TULIP. I'm thankful that I spent about a year and read the entire Bible before I started going to church. And, the church I went to didn't start going all in for Calvinism until a new assistant pastor came on board. Things to look out for is "Nothing happens unless God allows it" and "God is in control".

From my reply to demonite10: f you're a reader, I'd suggest a book called "What love is this?" by Dave Hunt. It's a bit old, but it has some great information. You can believe in predestination and still be based. However, Calvinists are typically more "fundamentalist" in the sense they're really conservative and not as open to new concepts. To be honest, a lot of new ideas have gotten this country in trouble, so there's something to be said about it.

The Pursuit in Seattle does live streams and records all of their services to YouTube. I live in the Midwest. The city I’m in has some nice family churches. But non that I know if that spoke the truth during Covid lockdowns or black live matter. In fact I left my local church after the lead pastor talked about Jacob Blake and his support for BLM. I was so pissed off they gathered to do a social justice protest and hand out bibles, yet would not hold services in person because of county ordinance… and I live in a red county and state.

My church has never discussed Q, the Patriot movement, the Great Awakening, nor any of the issues we discuss here frequently. They remain apolitical. However, I have always suspected that the leadership is aware of what is occurring and has tried to communicate this to us in subtle ways. This summer's men's study was about upholding and openly defending your faith to a hostile world.

Today, I was surprised when the next sermon series was announced which you can find on the attached video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6cF7lJXkag Start at 47:50. The series beginning next week is called the doctrine of demons and will discuss today's issues, their origins, and how it leads back to Satan. I feel they may become more open to preaching on what has been going on and human trafficking was mentioned this morning. Also, today's sermon finished a six-week sermon series on the Sermon on the Mount. This sermon ends with Christ describing the owners of two houses, one who built his foundation on rock and the other who built his house on sand. The storm came and destroyed the house built on the weak foundation. Our senior pastor ended today's sermon saying "The storm's are coming".

Our church service begins at 9:15 eastern each Sunday. It is live streamed to the church's website (mbc95.org) and on YouTube. You can also find previous sermons on YouTube.

Our senior pastor is really committed to his faith and his ministry. In addition to leading our church, he travels to Asia and teachers home church pastors who lead underground churches in Communist China.

For your consideration.

I just heard Ken Hemphill speak at a dinner last night and in worship this morning at my church. He knows the Bible and points out things that I never thought of, but they are there in black and white.

Here's a news article that talks a bit about him:

Regardless, the message in the sermon resonated and helps answer a question (one of many, as I am newer in my faith) I've been trying to find an adequate answer to.
