"Bazinga"? The fictional character on "Big Bang Theory" Sheldon Cooper, another annoying, tone-deaf asshat, says the same thing when he delivers a dead "joke."
Laid a trap, eh? Yes, Laurence, a trap was laid, that's for sure, but you're too benighted to actually see it.
Is this why I never thought that show was funny? I tried so many times to get into it but in the end I walk away saying….”wtf is this show popular?”
I think it appealed to younger audiences. I'm a lot older than the intended audience, BUT at the time it was showing, I was a staff member at a large research university and actually recognized certain basic characters as being universal on campuses everywhere. I think it was because the series captured the fragile egos and "absent-minded professor" types that I thought it was pretty funny. But of course, most people DON'T work for universities, so the internal jokes may have been lost on them.
I enjoyed the show too, mostly because I also collected comic books still love Star Trek. I also still play mmos just not as much as I used to. I'm a nerd, not their level of nerdness but I'm a nerd nonetheless lol.
I don't like that Big Bang and Young Sheldon make fun of people with Aspergers. Real people with Aspergers eventually learn how to act "normal" enough to get by most of the time.
They've eliminated possible targets of humor one by one until we're down to white straight men, and people with different mental abilities.
The only people I've ever heard saying Bazinga were, without exception, all fags
