Here’s a lesson. Lincoln was a racist and his own writings clearly point out he did not believe in blacks & whites living together. He incentivized blacks to move out of the country to places like Liberia and the Caribbean. That was not an abnormal opinion back then because most people were racist by today’s standards. It was a different culture.
I have read countless journals and diaries from soldier’s accounts on both sides. Hardly any Southerner stated he was fighting over slavery because most people didn’t even have slaves. You had to be pretty rich. They were fighting because their respective states were invaded. Most Northerner soldiers didn’t give a crap about slavery either. Americans don’t like being told what they can and cannot do and the Democrats of the 1860’s had had enough of being f’d with by the North.
Imagine how we felt when Obama was elected and then Biden. We knew everything we held dear was gonna go to shit. It was the same thing back then. The abolitionists were mostly a bunch of rich woke cucks at that time. Like the modern Libtard, they were the 19th century version of insufferable people. Their hearts were sometimes in the right place but they weren’t going to stick their own necks out to do the fighting. Slavery is pretty f’ing awful, but everything the Republicans did back then had less than desirous consequences for the country as a whole. In the end, it was just another rich man’s banker war and since the victor writes the history books, we have all been duped until we start to dig.
The parties of old don’t represent the parties of today. Lincoln just wanted his Southern tax money so he could finance Northern interests. I am not crapping on you fren. People have been brainwashed by public schools and media. Oh, and the Northern states were the last to free their slaves as well. Virginia was the first to abolish it the South.
Slavery was indeed an issue, but it wasn’t the main one. It was all about maintaining power & getting their tax money. He said, in part, that he would not free the slaves if he could keep the Union together. Lincoln & the Republicans were the woke Left of today. We all saw Biden steal the election but the Republicans straight up stole elections in the South for a decade after the Civil War. They monitored the poles with Northern soldiers and barred many Southerners who served as soldiers or politicians from voting.
Sorry if this post is kinda jumbled up but I get all worked up when I see people praising the Lincoln Republicans of old …and it’s hard to type this while driving.
Did Lincoln keep anyone who was black from ever advancing? Calling him racist is over the top.
And who writes a letter home saying. Sure glad I'm suffering mom, we gotta keep these slave working ya know
Lincoln said:
There is a natural disgust in the minds of nearly all white people to the idea of indiscriminate amalgamation of the white and black races ... A separation of the races is the only perfect preventive of amalgamation, but as an immediate separation is impossible, the next best thing is to keep them apart where they are not already together. If white and black people never get together in Kansas, they will never mix blood in Kansas ...
Lincoln said:
In the language of Mr. Jefferson, uttered many years ago, "It is still in our power to direct the process of emancipation, and deportation, peaceably, and in such slow degrees, as that the evil will wear off insensibly; and in their places be, pari passu [on an equal basis], filled up by free white laborers."
Lincoln said:
I have no purpose directly or indirectly to interfere with the institution of slavery in the states where it exists. I believe I have no lawful right to do so, and I have no inclination to do so.
Lincoln said:
I have no purpose to introduce political and social equality between the white and black races. There is physical difference between the two which, in my judgment, will probably forever forbid their living together upon the footing of perfect equality, and inasmuch as it becomes a necessity that there must be a difference, I, as well as Judge Douglas, am in favor of the race to which I belong having the superior position.
Lincoln said:
Our republican system was meant for a homogeneous people. As long as blacks continue to live with the whites they constitute a threat to the national life. Family life may also collapse and the increase of mixed breed bastards may some day challenge the supremacy of the white man.
Stew on that for a while. Lincoln’s own written words.
