I don't doubt this is happening, but the parents' lack of interaction with the kids must have more to do with this than the lockdowns. Back in the 1700s and 1800s, many kids spent most of their time with parents and siblings, mostly staying at home and maybe only seeing others at church once a week, yet those kids grew up able to communicate without any problems.

...I was attributing "masks" as one of the reasons....
Yeah, but that means they were wearing their masks all the time at home.
...wasn't that what they were told to do?
A kid in a full time daycare is there 10 hours and they also sleep 10 hours.. that didn't leave much time for normality.
This is the truth we a should be speaking.
