A Georgia monument was destroyed. Locals blame conspiracy theories
The Georgia Guidestones monument has always attracted outlandish theories, but their destruction in a recent bombing has led community members to grapple with the impact of conspiracies.
A Roadside attraction in a declining industrial town that few knew about outside of fringe conspiracy communities. I don’t think it’s going to have the impact on the local economy the article is indicating it will.
"keep the population under 500m..." and this idiot doesn't see why normal people have a problem with it??
I love how the “journalist” who wrote this garbage just glosses over this and pretends it’s all good.
"as well as others who believe conspiracies about the Guidestones, have falsely claimed that God struck the monument down with righteous lightning — despite surveillance video showing a person planting a device and running away."
They must mean the faked video with the blob in the background. If there was an explosive device, there would have been evidence.
They demolished it pretty fast... did they ship it to China and melt the granite down?
Granite doesn't melt as easily as steel.
