I dont know fiber optics is always the way to go (same with cable) because you have choke points. They throttle you (in a very obvious way), I pay for 500 Mbps and I actually get about 20. I used to have Gigabyte service, I got about 200 Mbps. With Starlink, I got about 150-200. I was never throttled. The only problems I had was on my end. Some of the blame goes to Starlink on that. They provided me with a component that failed, but I had no idea which of the components were failing me. I didn't really want to re-wire 150ft cable. Turned out to be an ethernet cable adapter.
