Yeah its fake, that doll is called "elf on a shelf" parents are supposed to act like its real and sneak it into diffrent spots so the kids think it can move on its own

Weird or creepy to someone who has lost the magic of childhood, sure. But tons of kids still believe in christmas magic. I would rather it be an "angel on the shelf" toy instead of an elf and magic but 🤷‍♂️ We had a couple as kids and it was fun trying to catch the elf when we think itll move

I find it really funny actually. My daughter got one for her children when they were younger. Pretty lighthearted, the elf would show up in odd places and the kids got a kick out of it.
