He’s astute, but he got famous predicting civilization collapse due to “peak oil”, for which the countervailing evidence is decisive. (Peak Oil was BS, and he made lots of $ publishing dire warnings about it early this century, I’m unaware of any statement repudiating that stance, but I didn’t waste much effort searching.) He writes well, but he’s not exactly breaking news. Walmart lampposts was a bit over the top, I thought.
I’m more inclined toward, equally unproven, (but Corsi sure cashed in on it fwiw), abiotic oil theory, but regardless there’s evidently sufficient oil reserves in USA to last centuries. Sooner or later petroleum will be like whale oil, obsolete, but until then it’s far more critical to conserve liberty than petroleum resources.
I fell hard for peak oil, it was a very good education.
I’m just suspicious of people who cash in on chicken little predictions.
I agree, but I think JHK was sincere.
Doubtless. If he wasn’t he’s a more talented writer than I thought. He’s also 74 years old, and still has fire in the belly. Good.
