They have no idea. The pictures of Hiroshima and Nagasaki straight after America dropped the nukes of those people were horrific. These cities were nowhere near as dense population wise as some cities today. There are nuke calculators where you can put in the city (worldwide) and the kilo ton size 5 upward to see what damage it does. There is a saying that after people witnessed the nukes America dropped then that those that were vaporised or killed within seconds were the lucky ones. Those outside the blast zone were the unlucky ones. With no skin on much of their bodies, blinded, etc. was bad enough but within 2 hours the radiation (depending upon wind direction) and anyone caught outside had about 2 seconds to be indoors. Even then, the radiation seeps thru door frames, under doors, down chimneys, and this is what is horrific as radiation poisoning takes its grip.

I was shocked to see the the CDC has on its website that after the bomb and your outside, you must take refuge very quickly, get into basements etc. but after 24 hours you can venture outside!! I’ve been a prepper for decades and there is a site - gov. site - where it tells you if you are caught outside when a nuke is dropped, before entering your home etc. you must remove and bin your clothing outside then wash meticulously your body and hair using soap but not use conditioner as it sticks the radiation to your hair.

There are radiation monitors that give readings and as time goes by you can go outside for say 20 mins and strip clothes off on your return, bin them again and wash thoroughly then increase the time outside as radiation drops. But if distant nukes have been dropped, the radiation could travel which if readings increase you need to take refuge again. You might have to repeat this process until it’s safe. You also need to wait until the landscape is thoroughly washed with rain water. And the CDC recommends 24 hours? Geez. If they didn’t get us with covid or the jab, they’re going to with recommendations Like this!!
