Kicking Russia off of SWIFT will go down as being the most costly move in financial history. Not only did it not significantly harm Russia, but it enabled them to prove they could exist without the US dollar and systems. More importantly, it sent a signal to all other countries that the West can, and will cut another country off from an “international” system if they fall out of line. It instantly united all of the rivals to the US, and other middle powers to develop their own alliance and start putting together a competing system (soon to be revealed).

The inevitable consequence is the total devaluation and death of the US dollar. It has been printed so excessively that it has been able to hold onto valuation only through coercing others to use it for energy purchases.
