A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?" "Because I'm a woman," she told him.
"I don't understand," he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will."
Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?"
"All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say.
The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry.
Finally, he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked,
"God, why do women cry so easily?"
God said, "When I made the woman she had to be special.
I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort.
I gave her the inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.
I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining.
I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.
I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.
I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed."
"You see my son," said God, "the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.
The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes because that is the doorway to her heart the place where love resides."

So sweet. When I held my son in my arms, I told my sister, "I now found out that I am not as strong as I thought I was" She asked why, (because my family has always thought I was the "strongest" one). I told her, I have never loved like this before, my heart is completely open and vulnerable now, and if anything ever happened to this tiny little guy, I would be undone, here he is, 6lbs 10 oz of the most powerful thing in my world". We cry because here we were given the most perfect thing, and we know we must someday release him to such an imperfect world. Did Mary know this when she held God in her arms?
Beautifully said

Mary knew. That's why God chose her.
Awww purkiss! π So true...you surely know the way to a gal's heart!

Brought tears to my eyes as I understand what you are saying. My 3 are now grown and living their lives, and I would be just as devasted if anything were to happen to them as when I first brought them into this world. I tell them they will always be my babies no matter how old they are.
Y'all are killing me today!!

My pleasure...Past or present we ALL had a mama bear...ππ»
Amen fren Amen π
And we all had a papa bear, even though some never knew them. Children with both parents are so lucky. I was a Daddy's girl, but greatly miss both Mom and Dad after all these years.
Everyone, please remember that we are never truly alone. Even those who have died seemingly alone were accompanied by our heavenly father.
Thank you, Purkiss. Stay well!
Thank you...ππ»

Dang. I think God missed my wife.

Having lost a son when he was 21, I can say part of your soul goes with them and your heart never truly heals.

I'm sorry for your loss fren. I can't imagine the level of grief that comes with losing a child. My only solace would be knowing they were with our Lord and Savior where they belong.
He was definitely saved and I get peace knowing I will see him again.
Amen.
