Yes but "natural" rainwater brings with it all the powder shit that [they] spray across the sky so it only becomes safe to drink after it's been filtered through a lot of soil. So let the plants have it (but don't eat them).
I have a 55 gallon drum with an autofill on it like a pool and a pump that goes to the bubblers for our plants. The sun kills all the chlorine in it. Way better for the plants.
