I am not sure what the literal Bible says about heaven and hell, but there has to be some motive for people to not do things that allow evil entities to gain control.

Basically sin is bondage, that is what Christ frees us from. I'm motivated by the perfect, sin is imperfection. The oldest book of the Bible is Job. Much of it is struggling with the topic you are talking about..........the perfect and the imperfect.
