Well, this might be uncomfortable for some, but I met a person, claiming to be a Trump supporter & a Christian! Cool! I think. Next thing out of her mouth: "I hate Catholics".
She may think she's a Christian, but the phrase: "I hate" is not a tenant of Christianity.
Slight correction. We’re supposed to hate sin/evil. But not other people.
It was her hating of the people -- some she had met (friends of mine) but didn't know they were Catholics, truly bothered me.
I agree- hate the sin, not the sinner, but these wonderful people were being thrust into the sinner bucket, while at the same time, she's calling herself a Christian.
Very, very odd.
And in my own soul searching of late this monstrous sin, I found, has made inroads into my heart. Judgment against others because of lifestyle or belief is an insidious spider quietly weaving in small corners of our hearts and minds until it becomes a focus.
"God causes His rain to fall on the just and the unjust." All of us are the raw materials God uses to build a glorious church.
However, I do believe and long believed that a person holding to the democratic line is likely not believing the Bible and may be attending for appearance only. Only God knows the hearts.
From what we see, those professing to be Christian and followers of the Democrat party, are not Christian. But we haven't polled every single Christian Democrat. Maybe they don't exist. Maybe they're an endangered species.
As a Christian, you are allowed to hate the sin, not the sinner, for we are all sinners and only made pure in the blood of Jesus Christ.

Amen. However, I would venture that for my entire life, this would have been a true statement. I was born post Roe, and the murder of infants has been the platform of that party my entire life. You cannot serve God and money or Satan.
