TERF is usually used to describe an actual lesbian, who isn't into trans "women".
Trans "women" get very upset at "TERFs", to the point where, usually when the term TERF is used, its accompanied by threats of violence, for example

the number of possibilities for sex/gender/orientation/preference is just mind boggling.
i identify as "cis-het" meaning cis-gender-heterosexual,
or what we used to call "straight" ,
or what we now call "super straight" (straight, no exceptions for trans)
most of the people reading this comment are cis-het super straight,
and so its difficult for us to understand, or empathize with LGBTQ+^n
for example, as a man, i am attracted to women, and so i can empathize with anyone else who is attracted to women.

and i was like, hey wait a minute, i am also disgusted by that.
