This is quite funny of course, but in reality it's not like we can hold VW accountable for their start any more than we can hold present-day whites accountable for slavery. And what some may not realize is it was actually Ferdinand Porsche who designed the VW (along with other stuff, like tanks IIRC). I am not sure how willingly he cooperated with the Nazis - my feel is, grudgingly, but I admit I have never dug very deep on this aspect.
Now, VW has their head firmly up their ass with the stampede to all-electric (starting with the R cars of all fucking things, of course), and for that they should be castigated mightily.
Porsche was a party member with honorary rank in the SS IIRC. He never put on the uniform. All he cared about was the cars. The mouse was a Porsche design if I'm not mistaken.
