Came to this conclusion today as I work for my fortune 100 with billions in profits and $0 to invest in new equipment or staff. Big dividends, shareholders happy but the company is slowly dying due to lack of investment and innovation. They don't care, they milk it, gut it and then sell it. I buy stocks, and then when it goes up people sell? ESOP is the best way and should be more of them, but those bankers won't allow it.
