Not surprising. So many in the UK seem to have given up. I guess it's a trait of the modern western world. In the UK, I've noticed virtually 100% (let's be generous and say 99%) of depictions of the clergy via popular cluture -- or any Christian person -- are negative. They are either evil or repugnant in some way.
I'm frankly surprised that it's as much as "less than half". I know very few brits who have a religion. Those who have are either "born again" or "Jehovah's Witnesses" with a sprinkling of Catholics, Methodists and Church of England.
And the muslims who are still entering the UK will soon be in the majority as they breed like rabbits.
Lots is going to change when people see what the cabal has been up to. I think that quite a few people will take up Christianity, maybe even move over from the other religions - that's my real hope. I don't think I will become Christian, but I'm not atheist any more.
I can't just start to believe in something which I have been programmed against believing. I have to listen and tune in and it all takes time. I am at the stage of believing that the universe has sentience and meaning and responds to intention.
When I wanted to know, I went to the source. I got on my knees and very sincerely and humbly prayed a little prayer along these lines; "God, I don't know if you exist, but I want to know the truth. If you do exist, please reveal yourself to me." I got my answer. You will too. Just be sincere, no mocking, no flippancy. Just a sincere desire to know the truth.
Since the U.K. government is trying so hard to depopulate by forcing people to take the deadly fake "vax"... those people will find out soon if they are right or not. :>(
Lol. Actually, those brits like myself who have no specified religion do, mostly, believe in a "higher power" (I'll call it "source") and in eternal life (of the spirit) and in multiple reincarnations into physical bodies.

The attack on Christianity has been relentless in the last few years.

What is stopping you from following Christ? Who else is worthy?

Try reading the New Testament (KJV best) and see what impact it makes on you.

Thank you fren!
I wonder how many were shitposting in the census as Jedi or pastafarian or similar?
Not surprised: most "churches" fly the LBGQ and Ukrainian flags. they do not preach the gospel -they are pseudo pious social clubs.
