Today, my heart rate is elevated and I don't like it. Never again.
Today is my first official day sober with the intent of never going back. Ever onward.
To the other patriots who have also quit, hats off to ya. I'm right behind ya.

I was a RAGING drunk back in the day. 750 of Rumplmintz for lunch and a 750 of 100 proof vodka for dinner every single day. I quit cold turkey 10 years ago. For some reason I had no detox or shakes and I did it. I failed miserably 100's of times before that. The biggest secret to success is (with the exception of us anons to help support) DON'T TELL ANYONE YOU QUIT. Just quit and keep quiet about it. It takes an enormous amount of pressure off of you from family and friends. (How's not drinking going ect.) If you fall off the wagon, the only person to be mad at you is you. Just take it one day at a time and next thing you know you are counting weeks, then months, then years sober. It's not all that bad. Best of luck fren. If you feel like getting drunk, come here and ask for some help. There is always someone here to give you some motivational comments to keep you on the right track. I know I will.
Thank you. I plan on using all these comments as inspiration. If I feel weak, I plan on coming here. God bless.
We will be here.
