Ohioans Vote In Favor of Banning Non-Citizens From Voting In Local Elections
Ohio Republicans are seeking for Ohio to become the seventh state to ban noncitizens from voting in elections. On November 8th Ohioans voted on Issue 2 which was an amendment to the state’s constitution that would no longer allow noncitizens to vote in loc...
Seems obvio
It's insane that this has be spelt out. You're not a legal citizen, you don't vote 🙄
Ohioans should not have voted for this. None citizens should never ever ever have the privelege to vote in this great country. Either they stay at home and not vote or they become American citizens and have the right to vote. Who are the dumb ones in Ohio? The citizens who don't know the Constitution or the politicians who put it on the ballot? Good for the citizens for voting, but bad for them to HAVE to vote for something that alread a law.
The fact that this was brainstormed and put on a ballot after your public servants, aka elected officials deliberated on this subject while wasting and consuming legal tax payer dollars should speak loudly enough. I try to keep it somewhat pg 13, but something needs to give with these treasonous fuckers. Pretty much every country has stricter voting laws than the supposed world leading super power.
To think we have to actually tell these assholes not to allow it.
This Is Not What It Seems at face value. The text of the amendment took regulation of voting away from the legislature and put it in the hands of the judiciary. People didn't look closely at what they were voting for.
Edit: disregard I got this mixed up with the other Amendment about considerations and setting bail. The voting amendment was a good shoot.
My concern with the bail setting amendment was that it takes the power to determine bail guidelines from the state supreme court and grants it to the legislature, that was calling concerned parents and people opposed to wuflu lock downs domestic terrorists a year prior.
