How much more can they ignore? My guess is, sadly, a lot. The more educated people are, the smarter they believe themselves to be, and the less likely they are to digest new, conflicting data. They get that degree and they think they have arrived. Some keep learning, researching, and studying. Others just get a big head and think they are God.

You got it just right. I have friends like that. They think they are so smart they even tell you that. 5 shots later and they don't dare to leave their house for the last 2 years. Sad.
