Frank Lloyd Wright was very modern in his designs. The Johnson Wax HQ building tower is an engineering marvel. All the Racine schools brought bus loads of kids to marvel at the architecture. FLW build in numerous places in Racine (my HS French teacher lived in a house of his design—included a fountain and windows along to top of the room on the road facing side of the house for privacy). He designed in other places in Wisconsin and around the world, but since SCJohnson was one of the power companies in Racine, that building is highlighted in his design work.
FLW did a house in our rural town as well here in se Oklahoma. The architect that did yellowstone did our park. Harold Stevenson was from here as well. We also got a monument on our biggest mountaintop that looks like a giant star of Saturn. Sam Walton's best friend lived here to. Jfk also came here to a ribbon cutting for our highway. Some towns where hiding places.
