Widespread and systemic vote fraud PERFECTLY explains California.

Lots of great people there; obvi there are lots of nuts in the cities, but honestly; if you sliced San Diego (even then it's got lots of solid conservatives), L.A. and esp. SF off of CA; it would be bright, solid red.

Vote fraud is how they've turned it so "reliably" blue.....
