And that is why he died...he followed his conscience, not the well-oiled machine of politics. If they could so openly assassinate a sitting President, there isn't a lot of hope for us peons and history supports that 100%.
Romanian communist leader that got toppled by a fed up population and rather quickly tried convicted and executed alongside his wife. One day he was addressing his country from the Presidential palace and within a week his ass was in front of a firing squad.
Oh, thanks...that sounds like a lot of fun...instant justice...so unlike the American judicial system. I believe in justice...just not the system that presently is so corrupted.
Just one of the more gratifying events of the 20th Century. It was stunning in its swiftness. One day, Ceausescu was the dictator of Romania addressing a large crowd that had been bused in for the event. No one wanted to be there, but he needed a large crowd to harangue for the cameras. Suddenly, for reasons that are still not fully known, the crowd erupted against him and started shouting him down.
His body guards can be seen (it's on YT) trying to hustle him away from the balcony as the crowd, sick of tyrannical rule for decades of oppression, suddenly went wild. In a day, the military joined the people and Ceausescu and his wife (also a tyrant) tried to flee the country, but they were captured, given a swift trial, and shot by a firing squad. It all happened in the space of 2 or 3 days.
I've always imagined that would be how our own Second American Revolution would go down, especially the part about the military joining the people in getting rid of tyrants.

And then there’s Ceausescu...
..and Mussolini
I don't know what that is??

His wife was nagging him up until they were both executed.

On Christmas morning, IIRC

And to this day, Romania is still digging itself out of the economic disaster that communism brought to their country,
Coulda happened Jan 6...if the people wanted it to happen.
There’s too many of us. If we can all just wake up they will have 0 power.
