I get random images, or what looks like, flashed on my screen occasionally while clicking through tabs but I do not have anything open that looks like what is flashed. Gonna check if I have any auto start things. Good anti-virus ideas? Anything that can kick a back door access?

Several small tools in any of these can a show you what is running in the background.
Gotta be specific though.
Windows
I do not know much but I can google things and nothing seems off. I do have 18 instances of Firefox in the task manager but I only have 6 physically open tabs in a single window, no other browser windows are open that I can see on my device and opening more does not change the number in the in the task manager

Noticed it happening just this past week.

Chromebook.
I agree it happens. Scrolling net, showed someone posting pics of their phone doing that. Supposedly, something is built in the background that takes our pic frequently or so the story went. I know I absolutely detest the forced upgrades which I'm not able to always stop.
I dunno if anyone would want to watch me. lol. Good browsers?
Brave is a good browser. It eliminates ads on youtube
