I was thinking about this recently. I was against the death penalty. You know, many innocent people have been executed. It takes more money to execute someone (in court costs) than it does to literally lock them away for life. (supposedly) Etc.

But treason? Cold, calculating, often leading to sickness and death of others. It should be easy to prove given the amount of evidence that should be out there. Hang them high! Literally hang them for all to see. To me, treason is worse than straight up murder. It also destroys the lives of others.

Edit: Now able to verbalize my thoughts. If you are traitor, you are literally an enemy combatant as in WAR. This is why you deserve DEATH.
