I fail to see how this is the birth of Christianity.

Satan wounded Jesus, but Jesus defeated Satan, death and hell, when he died on the cross and rose again the third day.

Satan cannot win. The war is over. We've been mopping up for 2,000 years now. Soon it will be time for the King to sit on his throne on earth.
