Amen, brother. All those who are Christians since the beginning of creation have believed in the one and only Messiah, the Christ, Son of God, son of Mary, fully God fully man, perfect, sinless, the only Redeemer of mankind.

I’m no Bible scholar by any means. And I don’t pretend to be. I just thought that the term Christian came during Jesus’s time here. Those that followed Christ. And continue to do so. Of course I see where the coming messiah was in Genesis. And will crush Satan. I just thought the term was during and after Christ. Before that I just figured it was believers in God and the various names of Him. Not the false gods shown to be nothing.

Also not sure on the Jew stuff, as in the actual word. I’m a gentile so, I try not to get bogged down. 😁

Genesis 3:15

15 And I will put enmity

between you [the serpent] and the woman,

and between your offspring[a] and hers;

he will crush[b] your head,

and you will strike his heel.”

I fail to see how this is the birth of Christianity.

I think the writer is stretching semantics and may be looking for arguments.

The reality would be that Christ was the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world. Revelation 13:8 occurring some time before Genesis 3:15

The simple fact is that from before Creation God put in place a plan for the salvation of mankind. He knew Adam would sin and fall, and thus the immutable position arose - the wages of sin is death.

God could not just excuse Adam's sin and the sinner had to die - no other way. So He showed us the way, from the death of an animal (probably a lamb) of Genesis 3:21 since the Lamb is the continuing Biblical theme. Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.

The passage of time since Genesis 3:15 we see the outworking of God's plan for the redemption of His beloved creation - mankind.

The reality is we are Yahwehs' and always have been. He has worked in many ways through many people but always to achieve His plan - which will not fail no matter how we - making - screw it up! The opening verses of John's gospel and the books of Hebrews and Revelation say all we need.

The purpose of the Law as Paul writes to the Galatians:

But the Scripture has shut up everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. 

But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, being shut up to the faith which was later to be revealed. Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. 

For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's descendants, heirs according to promise.

Romans Chapter 10:1-17 Paul pinpoints the problems of Law keeping by the Jews...

Brethren, my heart's desire and my prayer to God for them s for their salvation. For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge. 

For not knowing about God's righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. For Moses writes that the man who practices the righteousness which is based on law shall live by that righteousness. 

But the righteousness based on faith speaks as follows: "DO NOT SAY IN YOUR HEART, 'WHO WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN?' (that is, to bring Christ down), or 'WHO WILL DESCEND INTO THE ABYSS?' (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead)." But what does it say? "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART"--that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. 

For the Scripture says, "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED." For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED." 

How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? How will they preach unless they are sent? 

Just as it is written, "HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!" However, they did not all heed the good news; for Isaiah says, "LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT?" And Isaiah is very bold and says, "I WAS FOUND BY THOSE WHO DID NOT SEEK ME, I BECAME MANIFEST TO THOSE WHO DID NOT ASK FOR ME." But as for Israel He says, "ALL THE DAY LONG I HAVE STRETCHED OUT MY HANDS TO A DISOBEDIENT AND OBSTINATE PEOPLE."
