— Requirement of the national instant criminal background check system to notify U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement and relevant State and local law enforcement whenever a person illegally in the U.S. attempts to receive a firearm
— Prohibition of taxpayer-funded abortions
— Prohibition of health care workers from failing to provide proper care in the case of a child who survives an abortion or attempted abortion
FORMATION OF NEW COMMITTEES: — Establishes a Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the U.S. and the Chinese Communist Party
— Establishes a Select Subcommittee to investigate the Weaponization of the Federal Government
— Establishes a Select Subcommittee to investigate the Covid Pandemic
Not a bad start...
If it's kept to. Especially things put to a vote, like term limits: That's already hard to swing for people on a good day, but imagine trying to get the people who it prevents from being a politician as a career path to vote for cutting that path short.
The things like guaranteeing a vote are the easiest promises to make because they're easy to defeat.
I vonder if adding some sort of financial kickback for someone who manages to use all of their terms consecutively, to buffer them for going back into the private sector?
For example, if you do all three terms in a row, you get 3 additional months' salary as 'severance' once you're removed from office.
Senate should be limited to 2 Terms, I think the House also, but either way, 12 years in the Senate is a long time, so is 12 in the House.....
But to give a senator 18 years sounds insane to me, that's simply a Lifetime, and they'll pull all sorts of shenanigans to extend it....
