Thank you for sharing...I like that very much...the older I have gotten the more I am able to stay silent with my thoughts...many things need not be said...and bitterness is a harsh taskmaster...words are impossible to take back...
I can attest to that. After many years of having the worst foul language, like a sailor coming out of my mouth, I was able to stop talking like that, because the power of the Lord, I still need to watch myself, but I’ve changed significantly. I’m now learning to keep my mouth shut, and listen. Pay more attention to what’s happening around me, and watch how others are a reacting to one another instead of me, talking all the time. It’s quite a challenge for me!
Sleep on it always then think again in the morning.
The less control people have of their own lives, the more they lash out. Best solution is to be ruled by God's spirit and teaching.
So many times people 'And I am most guilty of this' go off the deep end without calming down and thinking first. The Lord said our tongue is like a double-edged sword. We must never forget it. Thanks for a great post. God bless.
James 3: 3 [b]Indeed, we put bits in horses’ mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body. 4 Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. 5 Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things.
See how great a forest a little fire kindles! 6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of [c]iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of [d]nature; and it is set on fire by [e]hell.
Amen. A great post my friend. And a great reply. God bless.
