To be fair, not entirely. I live in a very rural location and I run my gas stove off a gas bottle. Have done for 3 years as there are no gas mains to my property. Electric ovens but gas hobs. I get between 10 to 12 months on the stove from 1 bottle at 42 euros. You know any gas stove can be attached and ran from a bottle if you change the fuel rings on the stove. The gas hob I bought came with both fittings and we just changed them and hooked it up.
Great info. Thanks for providing it. We have a gas stove and I had no idea it could be run from a bottle.
No problem, we have the gas bottle in a cupboard next to the stove, there was already a hole in the back of the cupboard for some kind of pipe, if there wasn't we would have just drilled one anyway, fitted the pipe to the stove, ran it through the back of the cupboard and hooked it up to the gas bottle, out of the way and not ugly! You just have to change the fuel jets on the gas rings (which is really easy) to pump through butane gas since its stored indoors it has to be butane. Lots of people in rural Europe run their gas stoves like ours.
