Cement is to concrete as flour is to fruitcake. Just an engineering peeve of mine. The only one I hate more is people referring the US as a democracy.
...mine is calling an engine a "motor"....
...doggy winks....
Especially when the engine is on a Motorcycle...
...howls...
What what is comparable to the fruit in the fruitcake?
Portland Cement Concrete has four ingredients: coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, Portland cement, and water. I guess you could say that the aggregates are the fruit. The peeve is calling concrete 'cement'.
