All the old content on MySpace was deleted. I challenge anyone to find it. The same with all the websites that used to be hosted by Earthlink. They deleted mine for one. Geocities and all the personal pages on it went away. Luckily in that case, someone had copied a lot of pages to their own computer, but they were gone from the internet until that person put up Oocities with his backups.
This is why, whenever I see something online that I like, I download a copy. If it's excellent, I print it out. I have stacks of printouts going back to the mid-90s, and from previous dialup sites back to the mid-80s (CompuServe, AOL, GEnie, Dialog, BBS's, etc.).
BTW, my emails (all the way back to 1989) are on my home computer. I seriously doubt that any of the oldest ones exist anywhere else in the world.
But stupid politicians put stuff where it doesn't really get deleted.
End users can't get to it, but insiders can, if motivated.
Your emails are out there somewhere. I guarantee it.
The internet was invented by the military. They have had root access to the main backbones and routers the whole time and all data transfers have been mirrored to multiple secret bunkers since the beginning.
